Holy (feat. Chance the Rapper) - Single Tracklist:
It’s not perfect. But it has a very nice beat, and his voice makes me feel so happy! But the rap, I can’t even. Like his tone... it doesn’t even align with the music. I hate when his voice cracks. It goes me through me so much- like I can’t even. I would’ve given it a five if there want any rap in it, and if not that better rap.
Everyone gets one- artists sing about it, look at Macklemore. Sing what feels right man. Make money, do good things. Last I checked, we only get one life so it only seems right to get a second chance
This song is so meta; the relationship between God and man- a Father-son connection; then the husband and wife- then the way God holds it all together when things fall apart- takes someone to really think to see that. Also- how in the Christian faith Jesus and the Church are described as a Bridegroom and Bride- this song captures how it feels to have a holy connection with someone in so many ways and how that keeps faith flowing. Excellent- and the rap section shows how an imperfect person can reach to the perfect Savior. So meta.
This is a great track. I am amazed by all of the one star reviews almost like somebody is jealous and paid someone to make all of these one star reviews. Keep doing what you do and forget about the jealous naysayers.
Everyone is trashing on JB’s song, he had a spiritual awakening, let him speak his heart. And this song is about his relationship with his wife and God, I liked that he’s singing about this stuff, I used to hate JB, but this song is something I like
This song is complete garbage! I mean who makes a song called holy.? Not only that but why would he write the song the way he did? This is complete garbage do you not listen! Why would he even have chance the rapppppppper
Why? Just why? Music is awful now. I am 35 and am so happy I know what good music is and experienced some of the greats. I hope we can recover and find some truly gifted artists and musicians to be the next wave sooner than later. We need a change from these pop tart melodies.
i don’t know how this racist abuser is even still allowed to have a platform but that aside, how does he STILL not manage to make anything sound remotely good when he’s been given so many chances?? like dude it’s not that hard
